Papa's Cabin

Every summer the Day family side gets together for a little family reunion at Papa's Cabin in Cascade, Idaho.  It is so much fun to be with family.  The kids loved it.  It is a place where they can throw rocks, find sticks, swim in the dirt (yes they swam), run around and throw the balls with their cousins.  They are so lucky to have cousins that love them so much!  However, they think that their cousin McKay's name is cousin.  He is just a few months younger than Bella and the three of them are going to have a lot of fun and trouble together as they grow up.  He may be the youngest, but he is the toughest!  Here are some pictures of the week!  Can't wait to play with them at the cabin at Christmas!

Getting ready to go out on the trails!

Aunt Em and McKay are driving and we are nervous!

Papa - where are the horses?

What should we do now?

We don't have a lot of girl cousins, but we love Alex and Lizzy!

Summer Fun!

We have had so much fun this summer.  We have tried to go to one or two activities a week and have done fun activities like going to see their cousins in Wyoming (and all their fun animals), splash pad, Red Butte, Farmer's Market, the duck pond, the frog pond and swing, Library, zoo, and of course the fun parks.  I am really blessed to have good friends that go to help out with the kids since it can be like chasing kittens - each going their own separate way!  Sometimes I forget to take the camera but sometimes I remember.  Here are some fun summer pictures!

Father's Day

For Father's Day I took the kids to have their pictures taken at the International Peace Gardens.   It was a complete surprise to Bret.  Here are a few of my favorites.  They love their Daddy so much!  Every morning they wake up and call for Daddy no matter how much I try to get them to say Mommy.  Of course, my favorite times of the day are watching them read books and playing with Daddy!

Big brother!

Austin James Peterson went home to his Heavenly Father last week.  We were sad to have him leave us, but we know that he is watching over Tyler from heaven just as a big brother would.  I thought I would post a few pictures of Austin with Tyler.

When Tyler was born - Austin gave him a big hug!

When Anajean and Austin came to dinner.

We had such a fun day at the zoo.

Castleton's came to play!

We were so excited to have my sister, Emily, and her 2 boys - Aiden and McKay come to play with us!  We had so much fun!!!  We went to the park, pool, and aquarium!  So fun!  We were so sad to see them leave and wished that they lived closer so we could play more often.

Climbing, climbing everywhere!

The kids are climbing now!  Bella isn't tall enough at times to keep up, but she sure tries.  Tyler liked being alone on the toy box but she will catch up soon!

Giving loves!!!

We love each other!

Bella's antics!

Bella is in charge! When we got home last week from Tyler's doctor appointments, Bella picked up Tyler's helmet and chased Tyler around the room trying to put his helmet back on him.  She was chewing him out the whole time.  Tyler was shaking his head no and running as fast as he could away from her.  I wasn't able to get any pictures of the scene, but I did get some later that night of her putting his pants on her head.  She just makes me laugh!  We love you Bella!

Tyler's big day!

Mom was a nervous wreck this morning and she made us wake up early and eat breakfast in a hurry.  I wasn't sure why she was making us get ready quickly - I knew everything was going to be ok.  She even laid out our clothes the night before.  Dad helped load us up in the car while mom did some last packing up of the big bag for the day.  I was just hoping that she didn't forget our snacks and juice.  Boy, do I love snacks and juice but milk is my favorite.  I was glad that she remembered my favorite snack is the chocolate chip cliff bar.  It is YUMMY!  I love saying that word.  Well, mom finally got it all together (dad was calm as can be) and off we went to the helmet doctor first.  His name is Dr. Mike and he makes me sit in a weird maching with a do-rag on my head.  I hate it!  He also likes to take lots of pictures of me and I keep trying to tell everyone that I should get paid to model, but no one seems to listen.  Well, sister seemed to like hanging out at his office because he has a fun toy box.  We got the results at Dr. Mike's office and mom seemed to be pretty happy.  I was glad because when mom is happy - we are all happy.  We had to take those results over to Dr. Siddiqui's office.  I like Dr. Siddiqui.  He was really gentle with me in the hospital and likes to massage my head.  We had to wait a long time and mom got really emotional talking to some lady in the waiting room.  I guess her boy has the same condition that I have but they didn't catch it early enough and he is having seizures and needs a brain test.  I was really blessed to have my condition caught early.  I kept hugging mommy, so she wouldn't cry anymore.   We finally got into the doctor and he said I still have two small areas that need to be watched but that I could go helmet free and not see him for a year.  I could tell mom was excited because she was jumping up and down and even hugged my doctor.  She is supposed to only hug daddy, but I was ok with it.  I got a lollipop from the nurse and she gave one to sissy.  They took more pictures of me.  I guess I really am that good looking because everyone seems to want to take pictures!  Mom even took some.  I kept trying to ask mom when we were going to see the ducks and she didn't seem to understand. We eventually made our way to the duck park after saying a prayer of thanks in the car.  Mom was afraid that I would be scared of the ducks and birds, but I loved playing with them.  Sis and I didn't want to leave, but mom made us after she took more pictures - I really need an agent!

Love Tyler!

Walking to church on Sunday morning, and enjoying our first time in the nursery...

They let Bella go into Nursery early with Tyler when he was ready.  It really made the transition go smoothly since Bubba and Sissy were together.  It is amazing how they need to know where each other is at all times.
